In case you scale up your blog by hiring writers and outsourcing content? Maybe not!

I have a buddy who’s just really a great electrician. He enjoys the task. Always has enough work without being forced to complete promotion.

He has a flexible work program. Works when he wants. Picks and chooses jobs.

Makes a great living.

He asked him whether he thought about hiring a handful of electricians and putting a second truck on the street.

He immediately dismissed the idea telling me he’d employees in the past and it was a pain in the bum.

He also said he never made any more money owning a team vs. focusing on his own. He spent more time managing, becoming work, and fixing their screwups.

So now he is a one man gang having a van.

Daily he is targeted on doing electrician work. His clients like him. He enjoys the work. He’s happy.

I have another friend who’s a plumber.

He currently has something like 4 or 3 vans on the road and a small crew.

He is taking care of growing his company to 20+ vans and team.

His goal is always to”eliminate the tools” and concentrate on managing his plumbing firm.

Two guys in rather similar lines of work but definitely going about it rather differently.

Neither strategy is much better. Just separate.

The exact identical dichotomy relates to blogs and niche sites.

I call it the publisher HT12ML author dichotomy.

I suppose it can be styled as a writer vs. influencer as well.

I speak with plenty of successful and aspiring bloggers and publishers.

The gist I receive will be aspire to be publishers, not even writers or influencers.

I aspire to be considered a publisher, although for today, I enjoy writing for Fat Stacks. However, Fat Stacks can be an anomaly site one of my portfolio of niche websites.

If your approach disagree whether you’re visiting the writer path or writer course?

Yes and no.

In certain ways, writers that want are the only writer in the site(s) have it easier since they don’t really need to commit revenue in to the articles. They are able to pocket it all.

Aspiring publishers will need to reinvest funds whenever possible into content to enter the publisher’s role.

And when it involves buying material, take it out of mepersonally, there is no limit.

It’s easy to get carried away. $2000 here. $2000 there. Before you know it you’ve crossed the 10K spend lineup in one single month.

Writers like an off-the-chart ROI because they don’t have such costs.

1 thing that I love about on the web work is that even those who choose the writing path to get their sites don’t have any earnings ceiling.

It’s in contrast to trades where you charge hourly or by the task. You may only earn so muchbetter.

Not with online publishing in all its forms.

A excellent writer can wash up in SEO with fewer articles. In some ways, it’s easier because in case the material is truly epic, it can scale like crazy.

Writers also have an easier time networking within a niche since they truly are the face of the website.

It’s harder for a writer to network because there was absolutely no”face” of this site (usually not, anyway). Nevertheless, if a corporate style site becomes the number 1 site at a distinct segment, they could usually get some excellent exposure.

Writers craft, entrepreneurs create systems

IMO, publishers who hire great writers and have excellent systems in place can’t create the exact level of articles an excellent writer penning for their blog can.

Why?

Personality and voice.

Corporate sites (i.e. publisher owned web sites ) are corporate. They may be persistent. It’s possible they have some celebrity authors that lift the website, however it’s maybe not the voice and personality of one individual.

This does not mean that the organization websites are not all bad. They can be quite excellent. The largest & most lucrative sites on the Web are all corporate.

But let’s face it, if you dig around in a niche you are interested in, you’re likely going to find better articles on topics from individuals on their own blogs.

I do believe it’s unfortunate Google gives brands an edge because a lot of really terrific content goes undetected.

What kind of site would you want?

Would you like to print something perfect and epic where you grow an audience also that you control every element of? Where you get to”simply write”?

Or would you like to produce and manage systems?

Both are fulfilling.

Both can be ridiculously lucrative.

I believe a blogger writing everything could do as well as a writer who uses a team of writers.

As the writer may hit increased revenue numbers in the long haul, the expenses are far greater. ROI is lower.

Bloggers have no expenses apart from hosting along with maybe some software and yet can scale page opinions exactly enjoy a publisher.

Why do I bring this up?

Because I feel some of you are excellent authors who want to write however, may possibly mislead down the publishing path.

I’m partly at fault.

I talk a lot about outsourcing, hiring authors, etc.. It’s what I do therefore I’m bound to talk about doing it.

And so it sounds excellent. Major revenue numbers. VAs and authors to take care of things for me personally.

I enjoy it but I happen to like the company side. I mightn’t want to publish for 2 hrs each day. Been there, done that.

I like composing. A few days I write several hours. Many days not one. Fat Stacks is my main writing outlet.

Being an INTJ (Myers Briggs), I am most ideally suited to producing systems, so that’s what I do.

Could you do both?

Needless to say.

Perhaps write for one website and Contain in authors for yet another site.

You could also perform a hybrid vehicle on one single site. That may water off your voice, however it can get the job done. I write for my various niche sites.

I only want to make the point that I believe remaining a solo educator for your website can scale traffic-wise and end at a 7 or even 8-figure firm just as being a publishing business could.

Do exactly what you like to accomplish.

If you like writing, doit.

Publishing will suck your writing away time. You’ll become embroiled in managingediting, fixing mistakes, scaling-up KW research, and many other tasks that before you know it, you do not have time to create.

You’ll get to the conclusion of your daily life and realize”I didn’t write anything”. To get non-writers, that really is wonderful. For writers, this may possibly be miserable.

Decide what direction you wish to go to.

Don’t worry, you always have the option to make changes in the future, however it can help to know the way you wish to proceed and that you simply make an internet business you enjoy.

My plumber buddy does not create a fortune and probably never will, however he likes his work.

What’s the idea of building up a business that you do not like conducting?

If you have the luxury of choice, do everything you enjoy.

If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your own entire life. Thus cliche, but true.
